Just Got a Job

Hello all,
I was just offered a job with a great company. I'm fresh out of college and will be working in the technology department that handles projects. It's not a very technical job but it is where I want to be. I had the potential opportunity to work in a NOC or this, and I believe I made the right decision. I want to eventually be a technology project manager so I think this is a step in the right direction. I don't really have any questions... just posting because I'm happy
Thanks,
G

I found the job myself. I must have submitted over 30 applications. People were saying it could take over a year to find a job but I didn't let the affect me (much). Really great company and a great environment to go along with it. They told me they are a meritocracy and my advancement will be based on my performance. That's a good thing IMO because I'm not one to slack.
I am still going to pursue a few certifications even though I'm not heading into such a technical direction. ITIL v3 Foundations will be my next followed by Network+ and Security+.
I am also taking a course accredited by the PMI institute for the PMP. It replaces 2-3 years of experience and I already have 1-2. Another year or so at my current job and I believe I will qualify for the PMP and the future looks bright! Were you all as excited as I am upon your first career job? -

I know I was ecstatic. Still living the dream. Never stop that hunger to help and to get more knowledge. Sometimes I stay after work and sit with an admin to learn about a system they are working on. Even now, I go that extra mile to learn and help. Keep it up and you'll go farThe command line, an elegant weapon for a more civilized age
