A long time ago, in a COBOL galaxy far, far away

In my previous lifetime, I used to be an IBM COBOL mainframe programmer. Yup, I knew about CMS, MVS, JCL, SNA, and other mainframe technologies.

Does anyone know if there is a particular website dedicated to people who want to go back to the mainframe world? In particular, Linux on z/OS mainframes. Have been using Linux since 1993, when the Slackware distribution came out.

Thanks for the info.

I can't answer your question, but it does seem like there are occasionally some very high paying jobs for people that have the skills you listed. There probably aren't that many people around that do.

I saw a job listing yesterday that had a base salary up to $138k depending on experience for the exact skills you just listed.

You mean a jobs website ?

Not that I know of, but I work closely with Mainframe people, I hear them talk about an official forum or something. I'll ask them tomorrow.

If you have the knowledge, then this is still an excellent field, high paid one ! target banks...
