Anyone know how good State college A+ class is?
I was going to get a book and take the A+ exam soon but then I relaized I have to take "CET 1172C Computer Upgrade and Repair" as part of my AS. The course description says it prepares you for the A+ exam. I just wonder how well it does this.

The most common thing I've seen though, is that college courses that are designed to teach you certification material tend to give you an overview and some lab-time, but you'll still need to spend some time reading the book and practicing on your own on the side. The teacher might introduce you to topics, such as hardware or troubleshooting tools, but it won't be in-depth enough that you'll have a true mastery of those topics.

For someone who has been building computers since he was 14 do you think the exam cram book will be enough and which one?
