CompTIA CE program?

Hey all, is it just me or does this just seem like a scam to generate money. I have to pay 50 bucks a year, just so that they will evaluate my CE credits? I think I will just let the cert expire. Really feels like a money grab to me.

Just like every company, they want to make money.

I wouldn't recommend people stopping at any of the CompTIA certifications as most of them are entry-level. Once you get further along in your IT career, you shouldn't need them.
