scripting
I've been doing scripting of some sort for about the last ten years or so. Its one of those things that I take for granted until I need to do bulk copy jobs, mass re-ACLing of file shares, exporting info from AD, writing HTA scripts, etc. You get the picture. I can't even begin to recount the number of hours that I've gotten back in my day because of it.
A piece of advice for guys/gals just getting in the game, learn to love scripting because it is one of those tools that you'll always fall back on.
Sorry, nothing of much value in this post. It's 3AM and I just figured I'd write an ode to old reliable.

I'm trying to make the most of PowerShell. Any other languages you'd recommend for daily sys admin duties?
