Yes, several of our clients do (they are moderate/large corporates - I haven't seen it in any of our smaller clients). Why the question? Are you looking/requiring to implement it or is it just a general query based on your studies?

No real reason, Im just going thru some stuff on ADFS at the moment and I know that at places I have worked (with 2000+ seats) that it has never been a thought.
