Does anyone use a private hosted wiki for note taking? Any recommendations?

Thanks.

I use Dokuwiki. It is a PHP based flat file wiki which makes it portable.

What kind of notes are we talking about? Quick little reminder things or like taking notes for school?

One Note for me, hosted on Skydrive.

I only recently started using One Note, previously I took my notes in Word but I'm actually finding it really useful.

This is what I was going to suggest for taking serious notes, aka school. For something simpler like jotting down some quick notes, there are many apps (phone apps and windows apps) out there that will sync with google notes which is nice. Nice to write a quick note on my phone and view it later on my PC.

I stood up my own Confluence install because that's what we use at work. It's quite a bit of overkill for personal use, but the 10 user version is only 10 bucks, so I figured what the hell.

This has been something i've wanted to setup for myself for a while.

Are any of these solutions compatible with all of the following:

    - OSX

    - Windows 7

    - iPhone

I would like to be able to access the data from any of these devices easily. Especially my iPhone for on the go access (app based access)

I use a notebook at home for personal use! At work we use Google Docs as a sort of wiki and it serves the purpose pretty well. Though I could see it becoming unwieldy and difficult to find what you are looking for as it grows.
