There's really two choices. Odom is more detailed, Lammle is a more lively read. See the previews of each on Google Books and decide for yourself which you like better. -

This should work for you.
1. Read your book.
2. Go here for any questions: Cisco Systems, Inc
3. Also, go here: CCNA / CCENT - TechExams.net IT Certification ForumsCurrently Working: CCIE R&S

alan when you say odom's is more detailed do you feel it covers more information lammle's book might miss on the exam? Or is it more background/fluff type detail? -

Lammle assumes a Network+ level of knowledge going in, Odom starts from zero. Besides that, Odom's book spends more time on each topic, which the overall page count of each will verify. Many have passed the CCNA with just Lammle's book, so I can't say anything Odom covers above what Lammle covers is absolutely crucial, but you can never be too prepared right? -
