Deal Breakers

Hi guys, I posted a thread a last week looking for help in deciding which job was right for me. I have been thinking it over and have figured out that the most important thing for me in choosing, surprisingly is not the role itself but a combination other factors.

I came up with a list of criteria that I find to be important in choosing the right job (I am seeking sysadmin positions)

Work setting - team vs. lone wolf
Location - city vs. small town
Opportunites for growth within the role
Learning/Certification opportunites
Pay range

I'm curious to see, what are some important deciding factors that have guided your decisions in taking past/present and most importantly potential job opportunities?

    Deal breakers I have seen:
    - Long commute
    - Ridiculous on call expectations
    - Ridiculous amounts of travel
    - Expensive health insurance

    1. Compensation (Pay and Benefits, including tuition and training support)
    2. Flexibility Schedule
    3. Interesting Work
    4. Career Advancement (not just this job, but does this job help me into the next job, even if it is elsewhere).
    5. Micro-managed (I am a Type A personality... I already micro-manage myself, no one else is going to do it).
