High CPU usage with RHEL VM with VirtualBox

I've had this issue with for quite some time. CPU usage when the RHEL5 VM is idle is 30-60%. I have tried things like adding "divider=10" parameter to GRUB that alot of people suggested on some forums but that made CPU usage go to 70-80%. I would just use VMware Workstation on my laptop but it interferes with my touchpad and touchkeys. Any advice would be helpful.

UPDATE: I found an odd solution that actually worked (cpu usage now down to 10%):
