Modem Question
For many Guy here, my question may be very easy, but I am a bit confused.
For dial up connection, in Network Neighborhood, under TCP properties, we configure the TCP/IP properties. However, in Dial Up connection, in Server type, we again configure TCP/IP settings. I understand that TCP/IP settings under Dial Up connection, overrides other settings. Am I interpreting correctly? What are the differences between two settings?
Thanks in advance!

Webmaster Admin Posts: 10,292 AdminThe configuration in Network Neighborhood is bound to a network interface card. The dialup settings are used only for the modem... when it is connected.

However, when I see properties of NH, I also see TCP/IP> Dial Up Adapter. What does it mean? -
Webmaster Admin Posts: 10,292 AdminWell, protocols that you install must be 'bound' to one or more network interfaces. In this context the dial-up adapter is also a network interface. Although you usually use the TCP/IP settings in the dial-up settings specific for the dial-up connection.
