Tenable / Sourcefire certifications

I was going through Tenable's site and just happened to see this:

Any vendor with a product that requires training is also a possible candidate for also providing a certification for the use of that product. The "certification" can range from nothing more than a "certificate of attendance" of a training class to what we all consider a proper IT certification.

I think any vendor that has an education program for their products should also have certs for them. I would just caution the vendors not to expect the certifications to become a significant profit center for their business. This will allow their certs to remain reasonably priced for individuals (hobbyists) to obtain.
