Management VLAN setup question

If you assign two VLAN's with an ip address how do you make it so only one of them can be used for management functions on the switch?

mark_s0 Member Posts: 82 ■■■□□□□□□□It depends if it is a layer 2 or a layer 3 switch. If it is a layer 2 switch, you can only assign one vlan ip address on a switch. If you tried to configure a second one, it would disable the first one.
If it's a layer 3 switch, you can assign more than one vlan ip address but each vlan ip would need to be in a different network.
I guess on a layer 3 switch you would configure access lists to determine access to the management interface.
