The routing table holds the information of what protocol the route was learned from. The best routes are then used to populate the forwarding table which doesn't hold protocol information. So, I'd go with A. Think of it like the routing table and CEF table on a Cisco.

That makes the most sense to me. I had similar logic going through my head, but I couldn't see to find it in the Junos documentation. Thanks for the reply
