I can't seem to find the documentation supporting this question:
"Which table is used to store the protocol source for a given destination?"
a) routing table
b) protocol table
c) session table
d) forwarding table
I'd like the answer...but more importantly I'm trying to find the why...

networker050184 Mod Posts: 11,962 ModThe routing table holds the information of what protocol the route was learned from. The best routes are then used to populate the forwarding table which doesn't hold protocol information. So, I'd go with A. Think of it like the routing table and CEF table on a Cisco. An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.
