Call Manager VMWare and other equipment

What's the most recent version of CM VMWare, anyone know? I once saw CM 6 on VMWare on eBay for about $80, but is this too old to use now or prepare for the tests with?

Would some Cisco 7940 IP phones be sufficient for labbing, or are they hopelessly outdated now?

    7940 too old ? I don't think so. I have a couple of 7940's and 7960's in my home lab with CME 4.1. However, i m using 7941's,7961's, 7965's and 7975's with CUCM 8.0, CUPS, Unity Connection. my suggestion is to try to get your hands on 8.0 or 8.5 versions of the Unified Communications bundle.
