Take new or old exam??

I am thinking about taking the Linux+ exam. I guess I have the option to take the new exam 2005 or the old exam 2001. I have heard the new one is quite a bit harder than the old. Has anyone taken both?

I've taken neither but you would most likely benefit if you take the newer one. I plan on taking Linux+ after I get Security+, and Server+

Old Exam: 0 - 6 mos exp
New Exam: 6 - 12 mos exp

You will know it better - the employer still only sees Linux+ and that you took it in 2005 ...

Hard to say but I don't think it'll make much of a difference as long as you have the Cert.
