So i just had an interview yesterday, i kinda bombed it. The hiring manager asked me questions that I didnt know.
Im trying to write a thank you letter and im wondering if i should add in.
What I lack, i will make up from my determination to succeed and my quick ability to grasp new concept.

I know this can be tempted to keep pursuing the job you wanted, because it met your criteria and you were THIS close. If it is a good habit of your to write thank-you letter to prospective employers after each interviews, then I think you can go ahead do it, but if it's just too stressful to write one up, then don't bother with it.

Great idea that you a writing a thank you letter. You never know, this could be the determining factor to as if you are getting the position or not even if you think you didn't do a good job. When I interviewed for my current position I interviewed with 6 people and each one of them got a thank you letter (well email...). Basically, in my thank you letter I remembered key moments from the interview that I can recall and would help them jog their memory of who I was whether it was something in the conversation business related or personal, this way if they have 20 candidates, they can have an "A ha" moment when they read yours and say "I remember this guy, he was...." and it goes from there.
Always remember, people don't join businesses...PEOPLE JOIN PEOPLE...you are selling yourself everytime you go in an interview

whatthehell Member Posts: 920I say write the Thank You Letter, send it, and then immediately move onto to finding more interviews. Keep hitting the proverbial pavement and keep interviewing. In the meantime, beef up your certs and learning more and don't stop!

Ryan82 Member Posts: 428I have never written a thank you letter. Has anyone sent you a letter thanking you for the opportunity to interview you? To me, it's a symbiotic relationship, they need a qualified worker to perform some function and you need the money. Just my opinion.
