audit computer performance

I am looking for a software that can audit a computer or server to analysis the performance. I have a laptop on my network that I need to know if any applications on it like AV, group policy etc. that maybe cause it to be slow.

I'm not sure what operating system you're running, but Performance Monitor is available on Windows systems and can do this. It's much better in Vista and Windows 7, but is also available in XP. Enter perfmon from the Command Prompt, the Run line in XP, or the Start, Search text box in Vista or 7.
