For the past 6-10 months, I have been all about information assurance/pentesting/security but recently I've been reading about 802.11/wifi ..and its really interesting to me. I had my heart set on finishing my IT degree with WGU, then moving to the Information Assurance degree with WGU or a local university. Now I'm wondering if I should go towards 802.11/wifi/wireless networking instead of security. Then maybe after 2-5 years of 802.11, move on to the security side of 802.11/wifi.
I was looking at a masters in radio frequency or electrical engineering (but I would need to take 20-30 credits before I could even start the electrical engineering program)..so I don't know if I would want to do that, does anyone know of any master programs involving radio frequency or electrical but isn't an engineering degree? I have started to study for the CWNA and I plan on moving through all of the CWNP exams.
I feel both will have good job growth so I'm confused on what to do.
I would like to hear everyone's opinions.
