New Job, New State

So I finally caught a break. Living outside of the state you want to work in is difficult. I've been wanting to move to Texas. Better job market and just had some family moved there. So I started applying and got some good response and some push back since I was not local. Well I caught a 18+ month contract gig. Its not a perm job, but who knows what will happen in the end. Its a foot in the right direction. I've been in a desktop role since I got laid off in 2009. I changed jobs in April for a System Admin role, which ended up being desktop support and it never went to perm even though its past my contract to hire date. Hiring freeze is going on.

The new job will be setting up windows 2008 vm's and physical boxes in a brand new data center enviroment for a very large global company.

Based from what I am making now, its almost 35k more a year. Its a welcomed chanlleged.
