I haven't found any solid evidence online, so I am curious when does this exam retire?

It hasn't been scheduled for retirement, hence you can't find any info out about it going away.

You are good at least through June 2012. Here's a link to the discontinued exams.

If anyone is following this, the server exams (290, 291, 293, 294, 29icon_cool.gif as well as the upgrade exams from MCSA/MCSE to Server 2008 will be retiring July 31 2013. Looks like the 270 will remain available though, probably because of the prevalence of XP in the workplace.

    Does that include the 70-298?

That worries me because I just ordered the book the other day and I deleted the shipping invoice from my inbox. I guess I'll still take it because I think it will be helpful for me to have that cert, but I hope I have enough time to study and absorb everything to the point where I can pass.
