Well, first off, those aren't certifications. They are just exams towards a certification, the CCNP. Second, its not like there are jobs out there offered strictly for passing one of these exams. Too many factors involved to give any kind of useful answer.

Aside from what they have said, I would say the knowledge from ROUTE is more valuable than the knowledge learned from SWITCH...but that's assuming you're already a CCNA
