Applecare for iPhone - anyone bought that ?

in Off-Topic
I received a leaflet via UPS which only had the T&C, but not activation code at all - is this coming in a separate shipment or has this been missed by Apple ?

It is automatically applied to your phone when you buy it, there is no box or activation code because there is nothing else you need to do. -

I got the phone through my provider and bought AppleCare months later. I checked the warranty status and it still only shows the standard warranty. Also, a KB from Apple shows a copy of a letter with activation code and also links to a page where you have to enter it.
I'll send an email to their support for clarification. At least there is no rushMy own knowledge base made public: http://open902.com -

Is this an iPhone 4s or just 4, from what I understand, you can only buy the AppleCare for the 4s at the time you buy the phone, you may want to call AppleCares 1-800 number, they are pretty good at setting things straight. -

4S - but you are referring to the fancy AppleCare available for the 4S in the US which includes accidental damage. In the UK we don't have that (obviously) and only get the 'normal' AppleCare which you can purchase at a later date.My own knowledge base made public: http://open902.com -
