Hi,

For the Security+ Continuing Education Program do you need to get the 50 points per year or 50 points over a three year period?

Also if say in the first 6 months of gettting the Secuirty+ you then get a higher certifcation does that mean that after the 3 years you can show them the other certifaction and then you keep your secuirty+ for another 3 years on top?

Hope that makes sense!

I recently had to enroll in this. You are correct (at least from my experience). You can use that higher level security cert as the 50 points for the entire 3 years and it will show up as n/a in your CertMetrics History and CE sections. There is an approved list of certs that will count somewhere on their site. It also seems that you have 90 days from enrollment to add any qualifying activities that have occurred just before enrollment (assuming you're from life to CE and not immediately in CE). Most of the people I work with just submitted their CEH and it went through without a hitch.
