not sure where to post this topic.
has anyone performed this transition anywhere from small businesses to large scale enterprises?
what were the key issues/challenges?
thank you for your replies.

There are many topics on the matter.
But from listening to the last packet pusher podcast, there doesn't seem to be a big push for ipv6 in the US unlike Asia and Europe.
I'd like to here about ipv6 deployments. -

It's a small deployment, our office has about 15 employees.
One or two quirks, on some of the host systems (Macs), but I'm not sure if it's an OS issue or if it's our setup.
We're a mixed shop , Juniper and Cisco network devices.
As it is, host machines are using the auto configured IPv6 address.
The only hiccup with that is autoconfiguration will not supply you with a DNS, the default gateway seems to be handled by the OS (i haven't checked to see if that's in the documentation).
However, our IPv4 DNS servers do perform AAAA record lookups as well.
I think the biggest issue was finding a provider to deliver IPv6 service to us, many of the smaller ISP's I contacted had no clue what IPv6 was.
This presentation is worth looking at, if only because the 3rd slide is funny:
