Hey guys. I'm beginning to study for some Windows Server certifications but do not have access to a second PC to setup client/server to practice labs. Can anyone recommend a way I can practice these Active Directory and Server tutorials without having to set up a box with a client? Are there any sites that will let you VM a practice domain environment?
Thanks in advance!

You don't need a second computer do this VHD Dual Boot from VHD Using Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 - Keith Combs' Blahg - Site Home - Tech Net Blogs duel boot into 2008 R2 use something like easy Bcd to edit your BCD. From there setup the Hyper-V Role load as many VM's you need and lab away.
If you need the software download the evaluation version "Try Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Trial" you can run it up to 180 Days with the rearm command "slmgr.vbs –rearm" without reloading it that's six months you can get in 2 or 3 in that time.
All the above cost you nothing it is all free.
The only thing that would limit you is your current machine 8 gigs or more of ram and your good Ram is so cheap right now should be an easy upgrade if needed it and then if your CPU can do VM's.
If none of that works then here are some Labs at technet TechNet Virtual Labs: Windows Server 2008 I have done some labs at Technet but found them frustrating and laggy.Certifications: A+,Net+,MCTS-620,640,642,643,659,MCITP-622,623,646,647,MCSE-246 -
