Correct IOS For 2511 Access Server

OscedumirOscedumir Member Posts: 55 ■■□□□□□□□□
Can someone please point me in the right direction regarding which IOS in particular would be best to use for my 2511 Access Server? It currently has 8MB DRAM and 16MB FLASH and I would like to have SSH, Telnet and Terminal Services functions on it.

Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much. :D

Granted I do have to upgrade the DRAM first but that won't be a problem

A great tool to use to figure out what software is supported by different routers and switches is the Cisco Feature Navigator. You can search by platform, by software, and by image, and it'll not only give you the required hardware to run each IOS version, but also a breakdown of the features supported in each version. You can also do a side-by-side comparison of the feature sets.

Yes thank you Slowhand, i've got it bookmarked now it's very handy indeed!

By the way, where's a good online place to buy DRAM/FLASH for Cisco Routers? I thought we had some spare DRAM for my 2511 at work but it turns out it's for the 2600 Routers which aren't compatible so I gotta buy one icon_sad.gif

Ebay. You'll run into the occasional bad sticks of ram, but most memory is so cheap that it doesn't really matter.
