Storage Area Networking Industry (SNIA) offers some certifications on SAN you guys might be interested in:

SNIA Certified Professional (SCP)
SNIA Certified Systems Engineer (SCSE)
SNIA Certified Architect (SCA)

Each cert requires one exam. Passing the SCP exam is a prereq for both SCSE and SCA. They are 50-60 question multi-choice exams and offered through Prometric.

I am interested in SAN myself so this was a neat find. Oh it's vendor-neutral.

To be honest, I really can't see much career value in this certification.

I think SANs are becoming a rising area in IT that sneaking under the radar. Although this would seem to be a great all round starting cert to get someone into a job without being biased on a particular vendor, vendor certs is where the career benefit would be.

If your in SANs already stick with a Vendor, or vendors you know. If not this could be a good start. Personally I would look at the foundation cert to maybe help me get into storage. thanks for the link

Exactly. I was thinking entry-level foundation when I looked at these certs. That is my current position as it pertains to certifications so these SAN certifications were of interest to me.
