How can i see what jobs are in demand in my city? I usually go to a website like dice and just search key words like ccna, mcitp, etc...

Many (most?) cities have their share of local job boards, but they're generally a waste of time unless you're unemployed or otherwise desperate. If I were employed but seeking a new job (I'm employed and not seeking a new job), I would probably stop at Dice. Almost every job, contract, and gig I've ever done was off of Monster.
