How to look for hot jobs in one's city

How can i see what jobs are in demand in my city? I usually go to a website like dice and just search key words like ccna, mcitp, etc...

Not sure what services are out there that gauge local demand like that. However, a quick look at free services like craigslist and linked in have proven helpful in my area. GL sir!

Everything I've seen indicates that Monster, followed by Dice, CareerBuilder, LinkedIN, and Craigslist, in that order, is the way to go for a tech job. Many (most?) cities have their share of local job boards, but they're generally a waste of time unless you're unemployed or otherwise desperate. If I were employed but seeking a new job (I'm employed and not seeking a new job), I would probably stop at Dice. Almost every job, contract, and gig I've ever done was off of Monster.
