IRQ
I'm reading everything I can about the A+ exam...
One book says IRQ10 is for the Network card...
Another place says it is for the 1st SCSI adapter...
Are both of these right?

qsub Member Posts: 303If I remember correctly, the IRQ for network adapters can be 8,9,10. These are "free" IRQs. They can be used by any component that might need and interrupt number.
As for SCSI, I think the same applies. There is no specific IRQ for SCSIs. SCSI can use IRQ's 8, 9, 10 aswell. Obviously one IRQ cannot be used by two different components though.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong. It's been awhile since I learned about them.World Cup 2006 - Zidane - Never Forget.
