I have a book from 2009
Amazon.com: CompTIA Network+ 2009 In Depth (9781598638783): Tamara Dean: Books
I'm concerned about its relevance to 2012 Network+ exam.
Does the exam content change rapidly? Or should I be fine with a 2009 textbook?
Thanks!!!!

The only items that will change much are any specific interfaces, standards, or protocols that are new / more common now or old / no longer common now. If you understand the 2009 material well you are likely to pass.

charlesc09 is making a good point. When you register for the exam, ensure you register for the N10-004 exam. If you use this book and plan to take the N10-005 exam, you'll find that there are differences between the two exams.
