Here's to new possibilities....

It has been an interesting week for me. Not to long ago the company I work for initiated lay-offs, and I survived yet another round. It seems they are doing this every year now... Anyway, as a result, I've been updating my skills and my resume. I had my resume critiqued here a couple of weeks ago and put it out on several job sites. I get calls and e-mails daily from recruiters. Since I've worked more than a decade at the company I work for, I haven't had to interview in a long time. I've had two phone interviews for full-time positions this week, one of which was with a high-ranking officer in a small company. I believe each went fairly well, but we'll see how things shake out. I'm fairly excited about the possibility of mobility in my career after staying put so long.

Had another phone interview today for a job similar to what I'm currently doing, but with more responsibilities. I think it went very well. That's three in the last week in a half.

Again, excited about the possibilities!

It ended up taking me until the Summer to get a bite to move on. Persistance paid off, and I'm much further along now in my career.
