Career Training and IT Certification - PC ProSchools
I just laugh when I hear the commercials for this place. "6 months! you'll have 7!!! MS certifications!" They say that if they don't get you a job you'll get your money back, they go on about how you can make sooo much money in IT after school. I feel sorry for anyone who believes any of it. Has anyone actually went to this program?

Geez I spent $15,000 getting my BS and that was hard to swallow. Feel bad if you go through it and have these hopes you're going to make 45k+/year with no experience and really no degree.Courses Completed at WGU: JIT2, LYT2, TFT2, SJT2, BFC2, TGT2, FXT2

Same as well, I used to hear an ad from them usually 3-4 times a day on my way to/from the office and haven't heard a peep in a long time. Wouldn't surprise me if they got back into full swing trying to take advantage of the unemployed by offering big hopes and dreams. -

Are you sick of working at your 9-5 dead end Soul killing job? Then come PC pro schools and become Microsoft certified, and you can have a help desk job!!!!
I have two funny stories that are somewhat related to this post.
1. I went to New Horizons once and attended a seminar about certification. I met a few people that were either out of work, or didn’t have the resources to obtain the certifications they wanted. Anyways, they had two guys talk about certs, and how New Horizons can help you obtain certs. One was a full time instructor and the other guy was a success story, and he came back to teach in addition to his full time job. I was just floored when I saw the prices, man I can’t image paying that much money for labs.
2. When I was in school I used to show students how to get free, or practically free IT training videos. This was before Professor Messer. I would say ok “ hey if you join such and such organization for 20 dollars a year (student fee) you would get so and so’s videos. Also, I would always provide them with links that were legal and legitimate study resources for passing exams. No one really cared, the general thought was “hey I ‘m getting an IT degree, why do I need a cert?” I still remember my teacher being a tad angry, because I was given this info out, because he wanted to somehow promote the schools resources. Hindsight is always 20/20, because now I see why he would get angry, if a student could find the same material somewhere else for $400.00 dollars cheaper!! I went to a for profit/career college.
I love TE by the way.
I still can’t believe student loans can be used to pay for this ughhhWhen one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened."
