Two tech certificates = associates degree?

Am I reading this right, regarding WGU? Two tech certificates is the equivalent of 2 years of college and an associates degree?
I was worried about my old college credits transferring in, but why even bother trying to transfer them if 2 certificates is the same as an associates degree?
It seems to me the fastest track to a bachelor's degree I've ever heard of is 2 certs + WGU.

I think you are wrongly interpreting what you are reading. They want to see whether you will survive or not. If you have Tech knowledge through an AAS/AS or tech certifications than they will allow you into the program. They don't reduce your course load equal to an associate degree because you have a few tech certs.
