Just received my lab and am configuring a 3 lab exercise.
Placed aWC1T into W0 in a 2611XM. The router sees the serial card and allows me to issue configuration commands for S0/0. After configuration the interface will not come up
show ip interface brief shows Status = down, Protocol = down for S0/0.
I now power down the router, place the card into W1 and then power the router back up. I do not perform any additional configuration. Now the interface starts as expected.
show ip interface brief shows Status = up, Protocol = up for Serial 0/0.
How can this be - I would have expected the WC1T in W1 to have be S0/1?
Can anyone explain what is happening here?
Does this indicate a hardware problem with W0?
thanks,

Tried saving the old config to your pc (tftp), then erase it and start from scratch ?Goals CCNA by dec 2013, CCNP by end of 2014
