Awesome deal at Iowa state for the MS IA

I've been looking for a while for a master in Infosec and I just found the perfect deal.

School: Iowa state university
Degree: Master of Science of information assurance
cost: $416.00/ch
30 credits.
Accreditation: NSA CAE
Rank: 28th (Top public schools)

What do you think?

That's not a bad price. The only other NSA CAE completely online MS program I have found is Georgia Tech's.

Also, I really like the sound of those classes. This may go on my short list.

Another option for a 100% online NSA CAE MS IA degree is Columbus State University at $210 per credit hour. I've already told other people about it.

Iowa Board of Regeants just had another tuition increase approved within the last month. Expect that to go up.

And where is the MS IA. I only see a master of computer science.

It's the MS Applied Computer Science degree with the IA major. It's a NSA CAE school. It's a Tier 2 school. The only reason I think one will want a Tier 1 school is that they plan to get a doctorate degree later on.

Really interesting, and do you know if I need programming experience if I choose the IA major to get accepted?

Admission Requirements

1. Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or closely related field or by showing proficiency through
   • Earn a grade or B or better in CPSC 6105 and CPSC 6106, OR
   • Earn 50th percentile or higher on GRE subject test, OR
   • Passing test of competency in data structures and other computer science tests
