Quick ?
Hey guys... New to the forum!!
I plan on taking the Network+ exam within the next two months before the 004 expires. My question is about material.
I have the Mike Meyers All in One book and crammed the whole book into about 16 pages worth of definitions and key things to remember.
My question is does this book cover everything I need to know about the network+? Or do I have to dive deeper into other reading material?
My understanding of the book is reasonable. I just don't want to run into something where the questions on the test are more advanced than what I had expected and then I'm screwed. I'm going to know this Mike Meyers book like the back of my hand when it's done, but I just want to make sure before I dedicated all my time to one book that it's enough.

Slowhand Mod Posts: 5,161 ModUsing only one source of study material is never a good idea since no one author is going to know about every single detail of all the topics you'll see on the test. In your case, I'd say looking at the Professor Messer videos might be a good choice, since probably won't want to spend more money if you don't have to and you mentioned that you had hit that book pretty hard already.

I've been watching a couple and can say that there are somethings in his videos that are not mentioned in the book. I'll watch all of them and by then I should be ready. I've been big with computers for 13 years I just never really applied myself. Got my associates and said screw school. Now I'm getting older (26) and want to get a move on you know? I'm going to study all of Mike Meyers and Messer's videos and then take the test. Thanks for the advice Slowhand

If you've been studying that book and watching those videos for a while now, you may be closer to being ready than you think. One thing you can do is go to the CompTIA web site (CompTIA Network+ Certification), download the objectives list, and see if anything is unfamiliar. It might not take you two more months.
