Installing Windows XP from a Distribution share

I am just wondering how you do a clean Network install (not RIS) of windows XP. The CBT nuggets says you need a network boot disk which allows you to access the I386 share. But where would you find this disc ?

Also i have read you can't do a clean install only an upgrade over a network but the Sybex study guide says you can do both.

You obviously need some sort of netowrk OS to access the share.

Probably not something i am likley to get tested on but i am interested in how this is achieved.
