WTB Intel Xeon 5300 for Dell PowerEdge 2900

I have an old Dell PowerEdge 2900 that I'd like to add a second cpu to. When I run cpu-z, it says the processor is a Xeon DP 5050 (dempsey) at 3.0Ghz. Google-fu is failing me. Ideas?

Hang on, that would be for HP (not that it matters, although it might - depending on the stepping).

    Code for the Dell is

    Dell GF677

Are you sure? Since CPU-Z is hardly ever wrong, if it can't identify it correctly it will normally tell you. The Dell PowerEdge 2900 motherboard will take quad core xeon 5300 or dual core 5050. Assuming this is what you have then specs are:

    MANUFACTURER DELL
    MODEL PowerEdge 2900

    PROCESSOR
UP TO TWO QUAD-CORE INTEL XEON 5300
UP TO TWO QUAD-CORE INTEL LOW VOLT XEON 5300
UP TO TWO DUAL-CORE INTEL XEON 5000
UP TO TWO DUAL-CORE INTEL XEON 5100

FRONT SIDE BUS INTEL XEON 5300 - 1066MHZ OR 1333MHZ
    INTEL XEON 5100 - 1066MHZ OR 1333MHZ
    INTEL XEON 5000 - 667MHZ

CACHE INTEL XEON 5300 SEQUENCE: 2X4MB
    INTEL XEON 5100 SEQUENCE: 4MB
    INTEL XEON 5000 SEQUENCE: 2X2MB

    CHIPSET INTEL 5000X
    MEMORY
UP TO 48 GB (12 FBD DIMM SLOTS): 256MB/512MB/1GB/2GB/4GB
FULLY BUFFERED DIMMS (FBD) IN MATCHED PAIRS:
    533MHZ OR 667MHZ

    I/O SLOTS SIX TOTAL:
    FOUR PCI EXPRESS SLOTS (3 X 4 LANE AND 1 X 8 LANE),
    TWO PCI-X SLOTS (64-BIT/133MHZ)

POWER SUPPLY 930W, OPTIONAL HOT-PLUG REDUNDANT POWER.

    =============
5050's are under $10 on ebay

Am I sure that Dell GF677 is a dual core? Well thats what all the search results say. Or are you asking if I am sure about something else?
