installtion of redhat 9

I try to install redhat 9 after booting useing any of the method it give me an error message of:-
Karnel Panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 48:05.
How do i go about it so that i can go ahead to install the OS.
I was able to copy the ISO file using NTI CD&CVC Maker7 which i downloard.

Have you been able to install any other OS on the hard drive in question?

I would verify the checksum on your download, then try to burn another CD. Past that I would guess HDD, set the jumper on the HDD to master, redhat states that is necassary instead of CS.

Also make sure all your hardware is compatible meets minimum requirements etc. Is it a IDE or SCSI hdd drive?
