TSHOOT down, CCNP accquired!
Hey all, just passed the TSHOOT today which finishes my CCNP off. Pretty excited! Now the question is, what's the general next step? Not sure if I should pursue a voice or security NP or continue on to CCIE in R&S. Curious as to what thoughts are regarding needs in the industry and marketability based on certifications. Either way, going to take some down time as I'm hoping to move here soon and expecting a 3rd lil' one in September, but then I'll have to hit the books again. Thanks for any input!

first, congrats and welcome to the club! second, if your plan is go full speed toward CCIE, then i suggest go for the CCIP (that's what I'm doing). not only is it aimed toward my current industry (telcom), it covers BGP, MPLS, and QoS which will all show up in the CCIE exam. As far as certification goes, I think as long as you have the experience to back up your cert, you should be a shoe in for a senior network engineer position. We had a few "CCNPs" come through our door the past few days for interviews and they basically blew it when they got grilled. Paper certified with no substance.Reading: Internetworking with TCP/IP: Principles, Protocols, and Architecture (D. Comer)
