What tools do you run to test if an application is compatible with Windows 7 from XP?
I'm aware of Windows 7 upgrade advisor, but is this just for a regular joe and not an enterprise? I am just curious which tool sets you all use to see if the application will work? Does it comes down to building a VM and trying to install it on the OS or is there more to it than that?

I had to use this….. Make older programs run in this version of Windows
....and some tinkering and googling to get my Command & Conquer First Decade(made to run on XP) game to run in windows 7. It’s a DVD with ten games and some of the games are ten years old or older. When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened."
