Hey guys, in short,
I'm looking for certifications that include the keyword 'Engineer'. For example,
MCSE - Microsoft Certified Systems "Engineer"
I found one I was interested in that was the "SUN Certified Data Management Engineer",
& I just LOVED the title but sadly I found that Sun no longer certifies but Oracle is doing all the stuff now? & unfortunately the above certification is no longer there...I'm fond of Databases and its Administration & Management but it really hurt me lol.
Anyways, please list the NON-RETIRED Engineering certifications you can think of from the top of your head. Or anything Fancy that relates to Database Management.
Thank you!

The main 3 that springs to mind are the following:
Chartered Engineer (CEng)
Incorporated Engineer (IEng)
Engineering Technician (EngTech)
But they are more geared up to general engineering, rather than IT. The more IT specific version of them would be:
Chartered IT Professional (CITP) - not to be confused with this: Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP)
ICT Technician (ICTTech)
Mainly due to the fact that the term/title/status of engineer is protected in alot of countries, alot of certifications (including the old "MCSE") have been changed, renamed or retired (otherwise alot more lawsuits could have followed, see here for an example of a lawsuit against MS re term engineer).
