Plantwiz Mod Posts: 5,057 ModThere are several places where they can make specific cables to your needs or likely supply what you need and you can put your own ends on. Typically it is work done on a per quote basis. It's been a few years since I've used anyone, but try google and custom cables. Or your local electrical shop will have bulk cable for you.

Never used these guys:

Are you looking to use this on a Cisco device? Or is this something you're simply 'playing' with the idea and want to see how or if it is affordable to do yourself? Otherwise, simply order a longer cable then you desire, clip the ends and re-crimp your ends on.Plantwiz

Just so I understand, you simply want a cable that is 'thinker'? And yes, quality of cables can vary slightly from vendor to vendor but an electrical shop should have access to almost all the cables you want.
Now, I'm not a cisco expert, but several devices of theirs and IIRC HP and a few others can detect if the cable is not (lost for the correct word here...but I think it is) certificed which means they won't certain types of cables even though on the outside they have the correct ends and are wired properly.
So, you are welcome. Not certain if I helped answer your question or not, but certainly electrical stores or custom online cable builders will be able to properly size up the cable for the device.Plantwiz
