Difference between Linux+ and LPI-1?
Title says it, what's the difference between LPI-1 and Linux+ ? I heard Linux+ can be obtained in few weeks.

YuckTheFankees Member Posts: 1,281 ■■■■■□□□□□Comptia and LPIC are two different companies but you can obtain both certifications by passing the Linux+ but not the other way around and just passing the LPIC-1.
Are you new to Linux? Do you have a couple years under your belt? It all depends on the person but yes "someone" can pass the Linux+ in 2 weeks but most people take 1-2 months.
Download an ISO image from Fedora, Ubuntu, CentOS, Mint, or Arch..put that bad boy into a VM and mess around with it. -

Are you sure? because LPIC-1 is harder, and more valued than Linux+? -
YuckTheFankees Member Posts: 1,281 ■■■■■□□□□□Yes I am positive, there's even a thread in the Linux+ section stating you get 4 certifications for passing the Linux+ (Linux+, LPIC-1, and Novell certs; You just have to register with the companies.) . Try googling it
