Windows to Go is a little bit like a live disk?

Just from reading the description for Windows to Go - Doesn't it seem like a live disk that *nix OS's use? Can see it being handy in order to see how a fully fledge w8 box will run driver wise on older machine before taking the plunge.

Any other uses? Thoughts?
