Contracting Management fee

hi guys,

quick question. ive just started contracting and are still finding the ropes. Im contracting in australia and have decided for an accountant to handle my fee's until i know the system. This incurs a 3% charge, however, he mentioned the agency will also get a 2% fee. Im just wondering if this is normal or whether they have already had their "cut" and its abit of a swindle.

so you are working through a contracting agency for a client of theirs? I am wondering why you need an accountant for that
