Learning PowerShell

Hello all,

What is the best way to learn PowerShell? I feel like I should know some basic knowledge to PowerShell. I've used it very lightly in my past in Exchange 2007/2010 scenarios but have drifted away since then (current company uses Exchange 2003 so its non-existant). Is there a book for learning this or any kind of lab for practicing commands? Or is this something you learn as you go. How should I begin learning this again?

Easy to read / understand ...

Oh and one way to do that : Do everything you intend to do on a server / workstation through Powershell :P

+1 to the Month of Lunches book. Although I haven't gotten it everyone I talk to recommends this book.

I was a bit reluctant a few years ago to learn PowerShell but it is a must now that everything is moving towards it. Came in very handy in my recent Lync Deployment. Also extremely helpful for Exchange 2007+ admin tasks.

Hey thanks guys! That's an interesting title..."Learn Windows PowerShell in a Month of Lunches". I shall check them out in the Amazon preview before making a purchase (love that about Amazon...can preview first few pages to see if it's for you)

Doesn't it just cover v1 though ?

i think it does however its a great learning base you can easily fill in the newest after that
