DHCP using server in Packet tracer
The Patient
Hi,
I'm attempting to setup a dhcp server using a generic server in Packet Tracer.
I enter all dhcp info, using 172.16.1.3 /23 but the maximum amount of users box doesn't accurately reflect the /23. Instead of having 510 or so, it has 253.
Why would it do that? I checked everything and it's all correct. Thanks in advance.

check the subnet mask you wrote is correct.

In my version of packet tracer I have to manually set the max number of users.. It defaults to 0 no matter what mask I use.
