BGP timers help needed please
Hi,
I just came across the BGP timers command under the config-router mode and see that you can set the hello and hold timer here, but I also saw that you can do something similar under the "neighbor x.x.x.x" command. Can someone please tell me what the difference is? is there a recommended method of what the values need to be?

Under BGP sets it for all neighbors. Under the neighbor sets it for that neighbor only. Which one is recommended depends on what you are trying to accomplish.An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.
